Proven track and ability to develop, motivate, supervise staff. Particular knowledge of IT, claims processing, data collection and warehousing technologies, medical management and quality assurance disciplines are needed.

Global financial services company seeks an AVP & Actuary, Hedge Models - Variable Annuities (FSA, FCIA or FIA) with accountability for stochastic model valuation results a strong modeling background and appreciation of the inner workings of variable annuities. Able to understand complex variable annuity issues and oversee the use of modeling techniques to ensure that these are properly reflected in valuation. The skill sets required are a balance between technical actuarial and financial expertise,. Coordination and oversight of the quarterly determination of stochastic reserves. Build and maintain efficient Atlas models for all products hedged. Quantify the impact on reserves for changes in modeling assumptions. Aid in the development of financial metrics to assess and manage the risk of benefits available on the products. Financial understanding of model projections and knowledge of external reporting requirements and actuarial standards. Knowledge of Variable Annuities products and Atlas valuation software. Experience with developing and monitoring policies and controls (e.g. SOX).
